Welcome to Alexander & Houle Funeral Home
Dan and Anne Houle, owners of the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home pride themselves in being small town people. Their commitment to Chatham-Kent is deeply rooted in friendship, community involvement, and a simple desire to care for, respect and honour the families they serve. The family owned and operated funeral home's philosophy is quite simple.... to serve others. As directors, Dan Houle and Dianne Millard provide information, education, and choices that meet the individual needs and circumstance of each family in order to create a meaningful funeral experience. They believe it is fundamental to listen, understand and respond to the changing wants, needs and expectations of families served today. They encourage families to participate in creating services that are as unique as they are. Some services are traditional, including a need for ceremony and ritual; others include listening to a loved one's favourite artist or a family sing-song, and while others include the Boot Hill Hearse as their last ride to the cemetery. A time of fellowship and refreshments is commonly requested by families. Their community room provides a place to gather for a luncheon, family dinners between the afternoon and evening visitation, or for a more informal celebration that allows the family to gather with friends while celebrating the life of their loved one. Whatever your family's wishes are, Dan and Dianne encourage families to share their vision of a meaningful service with them.
When pre-planning and planning services, choose a funeral home that listens, understands, responds and accommodates your needs and circumstance to create a meaningful funeral experience. Visit their funeral home, take a tour, and see their facilities, and meet with Dan, Anne, and Dianne. "Experience the difference caring makes" at the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home.
